This sterling silver ring is a complete maze of wandering silver wires that end in silver trumpets. The inspiration and design of the ring came from a picture of a Medusa head. The tumbling snakes that framed her head are running over each other. This picture had always intrigued me while I was reading classical studies.
This is a stunning ring which can be worn day and night, simple and stylish. The ring has a slight texture to it, similar to the scales on a snake and it is completed with a satin finish.
The ring comes in two sizes P or S.
It is said that Poseidon seduced and raped Medusa in one of Athenas temples. As a punishment Athena transformed her hair to snakes, which would deter other suitors. Medusas stare would turn onlookers into stone. Perseus then beheaded Medusa and used her head as a weapon.
